Victoria Waters, CEO and Founder

Passionate about preserving the world’s natural resources Victoria founded Green Education Foundation in April 2008 with the mission of providing free sustainability education resources to schools worldwide. Victoria lends more than twenty-five years of business experience to her role. Prior to founding Green Education Foundation she worked at AMR Research, a technology analysis firm, for fifteen years, where as director of corporate accounts, she managed Fortune 100 accounts including IBM, Johnson & Johnson, and Motorola. Victoria was responsible for spearheading new sales methodologies and strategies that contributed to substantial bottom line growth for the company. Victoria has a B.A. in comprehensive physics from Western State College, Gunnison, CO.

Leslie Taylor, Director of Partner Relations

Leslie spent six years as the director of Customer Service and public relations at Empak, a global technology firm. She was responsible for hosting corporate global events, including organizing all aspects of the company’s trade show presence, and maintained front-line relationships with the company’s top clients. Leslie has a B.A. in business. In her free time Leslie enjoys hiking and skiing in her homestate of Colorado and spending time with her family.

Amy George, Senior Curriculum Developer

Amy is a K-12 educator and curriculum developer with more than ten years of experience in the fields of United States and world history, geography, government, and economics, with a special focus on literacy and study skills integration. She is president of the board of directors of the New England Teachers Association and a member of several local and national education advisory committees. Prior to joining Green Education Foundation, Amy served as senior curriculum developer at Teachers’ Curriculum Institute in Palo Alto, Calif., and taught history at Weston Middle School in Massachusetts. She earned a B.A. in History and Government from Bowdoin College and a M.A.T. in Social Studies from Tufts University.

Jacob S. Robinson, Director of Curriculum Production

Jacob Robinson is a resource production specialist and project manager with several years of experience in environmental, sustainability, and education development. He is a graduate of Indiana University where he received degrees in Environmental Management and Policy Studies. Jacob worked for the U.S. Green Building Council as a publication coordinator of the LEED ® Reference Guides and as a project manager of the LEED AP Study Guides. He currently holds the professional designation of LEED Green Associate and is passionate about greening schools and improving the built environment through education and youth empowerment. His background in program strategy, digital & print publication production, and sales development are valuable assets for GEF.

Jacob is an advocate of hands-on, place-based learning and was inspired to join the GEF mission after reading Richard Louv’s Last Child in the Woods. He has worked with several state and national youth programs, including leadership roles as a river-school instructor, an ESL tutor, and an Ashoka Youth Venture coach.

Keith Donaldson, Director of Instructional Technology

Keith Donaldson is the Director of IT with GEF.  Mr. Donaldson is a school-based technology integration specialist. He completed his BA at Morehouse College, concentrating in multimedia and education. His undergraduate honors research was with Mitchel Resnick of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab. There he contributed to the development of the Constructopedia, a searchable, interactive database that assists children in working on design projects and making connections to the math and scientific ideas underlying those projects. In 2008, he received a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College, with a concentration in urban education. Professionally, Keith has taught mathematics, engineering, and technology in and around the Boston Public Schools and lead a few technology startups. Most recently, Keith is the Principal Investigatpr at MolySym, an MIT start-up, that is developing a multimodal molecular modeling system for teaching students how to manipulate matter at the atomic and molecular levels. As the Principal Investigator, Keith successfully managed two SBIR Fastrack grants from the US Department of Education and was issued Patent No. 7,558,707, entitled “Apparatus and Method for Integrating a Physical Molecular Model with a Computer-Based Visualization and Simulation Model”, by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Scott SanGiacomo, Art Director

Formerly a lead animator at JuniorNet Inc., Mr. SanGiacomo has extensive experience designing and animating instructional books and software for children. Scott has partnered with Weekly Reader, Reading Rainbow, and Highlights for Children.  His published work includes numerous children’s books and educational interactive digital media.  Scott graduated from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts with a degree in film and animation.

Molly Hislop, Director of GEF Programs

Molly's passion lies with ensuring sustainability education is widely accessible in classrooms and communities. As a believer in the power of grassroots behavior change, she helps GEF foster that power in students and educators everywhere. As Director of Programs at GEF she facilitates communications and program operations. Molly joins GEF from the U.S. Green Building Council, where she worked with the Education Review team to provide high quality green building education to LEED professionals. She holds the LEED Green Associate credential as well as a degree in sociology from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. Outside the workplace, Molly enjoys volunteering and has experience as a site coordinator making improvements to DC public schools and as an English as a Second Language teacher. In the future, she wants to visit Africa as well as improve the Spanish skills she developed in Chile and Argentina.

Dr. Jim Foster, Director Career and Technical Development Curriculum

Jim Foster holds a PhD in political economy from MIT and has accumulated extensive experience in research, education, and sustainability.  Jim is retired from the MIT staff where he spent 14 years as a member of the Alliance for Global Sustainability and Center for International Studies. His long-term research and business consulting interests have focused on environmental regulation, the economics of environmental externality mitigation, and the opportunities, as well as responsibilities, for corporate entities to realize gains from improved environmental performance.  His continues to be  involved in Executive Education programs at MIT and the Stockholm School of Economics on the subjects of Strategic Leadership, Innovation, and Environmental Performance Opportunities. At GEF, Jim serves as an expert contributor for sustainability program content for CTE schools and educators.

Ashley MacLure, Illustrator /Graphic Artist

Ashley MacLure is an Illustrator/ Graphic Artist with GEF. Ms. MacLure has illustration experience with Providence Media, illustrating editorial columns in The Bay, Providence Monthly, and East Side Monthly. She also has experience designing characters and logos for private clients. Prior to GEF, Ashley taught cartooning in Rhode Island School of Design's (RISD) Continuing Education Department. Ms. MacLure earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from RISD in 2009.

Emily Ruff, Curriculum Production Associate

Emily Ruff graduated from Tufts University with a degree in international relations and a minor in Arabic in May 2011.  She is very happy to be joining the GEF team as a curriculum assistant.  Emily has worked at many environmental NGOs in Massachusetts and Amman, Jordan.  Emily enjoys  spending time outdoors backpacking, kayaking, and wood carving.

Stephanie Ng, Operations and Programs Associate

Stephanie joined GEF after graduating from Boston University in May 2011 with a B.A. in International Relations and minors in Environmental Policy and Spanish. During her undergraduate studies, she focused her coursework and research on international sustainable development and briefly studied environmental policy in Quito, Ecuador. Stephanie is extremely excited to work with GEF in supporting its programs to promote sustainability education. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering and has worked with Habitat for Humanity and taught music lessons at Farragut Elementary School in Boston, Massachusetts. Stephanie also enjoys yoga, knitting, and traveling anywhere.

Sarah Kilburne, Program Services

While enrolled in her final year at Endicott College, Sarah pursues a part-time career with GEF.  As a Business Administration major, with past experiences in social media marketing, she provides great insight to GEF’s marketing team. Sarah assists in the promotion of GEF programs and overall market research.  With previous internship experience in accounting, Sarah also manages the company book keeping and assists in year-end audit operations.
