2013 T-Shirt Design Contest
Students in grades K-5 in MA, RI and NY are invited to create a t-shirt design that answers the question 'What's your favorite way to save energy?' One winner from NY will win $250 for their school, and one winner from MA or RI will win $250 for their school and the opportunity to throw the first pitch at a Red Sox game this spring! Green in Action is part of National Green Week, and in the spirit of collective action, projects and initiatives related to any sustainability topic are welcome. Ask your students to sign a pledge to reduce energy consumption, waste, and more to make their classroom more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Submit a copy of your pledge with a photo of the class to be entered to win 20 Green Packs!National Grid's Energy Effiicency Face-off Challenge for MA and RI!
K-8 schools in MA and RI that are National Grid gas heating or electric customers are invited to show us how your school could be more energy efficient by submitting a proposal, picture or video etc. and be entered to win cash prizes. National Grid has partnered with Andrew Ference of the Boston Bruins and two Grand Prize winners will each receive a $2,500 grant and a visit from Ference to their school to discuss how he strives to be energy efficient and steps you can take in your own home and school.Brought to you by:
