Nationwide event enlists an army of student "green keepers" to jumpstart sustainability education

(Add Date) - (Name of your school) is joining thousands of others from across the country to participate in eco-lessons and hands-on programs during Green Education Foundation's (GEF) National Green Week 2014, a sustainability education campaign that takes place from February 3 through the end of Earth Month (April). “By participating in National Green Week 2014, students will learn that simple decisions such turning off lights, adjusting thermostat settings and and packing snacks and drinks in reusable containers can add up to big savings in energy and waste,” noted Victoria Waters, CEO of GEF. “Children are in the best position to impact the future of the environment by developing green behaviors that become lifelong habits.”

National Green Week is always free.  Visit www.greeneducationfoundation.org  to learn more or find out how you can get involved.
