Fundraising IXG Green Packs!
Fundraising with IXG Green Packs
So many fundraising events involve products and foods that are unhealthy for kids and the environment. IXG can help your organization run a fundraiser that promotes healthy snack habits that are both good for your kids and the environment! Consider implementing your fundraiser as holiday gifts for students and teachers. They can use these items during National Green Week 2010 (as well as the rest of the year!). Following is the step by step process to start an IXG fundraiser at your school:
Step 1
To set up a fundraiser at your school (or group) use THIS LETTER to email or send home with students to order IXG Green Packs. Your fee is $16 for students and $18 for teachers - min quantity 200 (fee enclosed is $18 and $20 respectively, therefore, your school or group can earn $2 for every student and teacher). Don't forget to add 10% to the total order for shipping.
Complete and fax this ORDER FORM to IXG at 508-668-2280 and call in to confirm the order at 888-668-2298. Mail order form with check including 10% shipping costs to:

to expedite your request.
Step 3
Use the following distribution process to hand out IXG Green Packs at your school:
IXG Green Pack Distribution Process
Please designate a place for Green Packs to be assembled by the students and staff. We recommend that only a few classes assemble their Green Packs at one time, with students filing in a single line. Place the t-shirts in stacks by youth and adult sizes on a table. The rest of the items can be left in the boxes they arrived in. Start with the reusable bags on the left, t-shirts next, water bottles, containers and then inserts.
Please note that snack containers come packed in sets of five. They need to be unpacked in order for the students to select one of each. Students can easily do this with the supervision of an adult.
Each student will first select a reusable bag, and then fill it with: (1) water bottle, (2) snack containers (1 small & 1 large), (1) National Green Week t-shirt in their size and an educational insert. They are now ready for Waste Free Snacks during National Green Week 2010!

About National Green Week 2010
The goal of this nationwide event is to launch environmental educational activities, exercises and eco-challenge programs to be utilized during this week and for the remainder of the school year. In order to maximize waste reduction at schools across the nation GEF is urging schools to participate in the waste-free snacks program (if appropriate for your school, we understand that many schools offer free snacks to under-served children in which case this would not apply). However, GEF strongly encourages the teacher and administrators to partake in environmental lessons in either case or partake in other GEF Eco-Challenges such as the Green Thumb Challenge and the Green Energy Challenge.
What does IXG stand for? I Work Green, I Play Green, I Live Green, I X Green, IXG.
