Adopt-a-Plant for your Classroom!

NASA recommends one indoor plant for every 100 square feet of living space to improve indoor air quality. Participate in the Adopt-a-Plant for Your Classroom campaign, and bring some nature indoors this winter!

Studies show that indoor air can be up to ten times more polluted than outside air. (Source: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency). For children, who spend an average of 30 hours per week inside school buildings, the potential hazards of poor indoor air quality are pervasive. While most regions are in the early stages of garden planning in February, you can still introduce your students to plant life by participating in the Adopt-a-Plant for Your Classroom campaign.

GEF is pleased to announce the Adopt-a-Plant Most Creative Name Contest Winner!

And the winner is..."Clean Air Clair"!

The Winner!

Congratulations to Junior Girl Scout Troop #2731 from Canton, Georgia!

A warm thank you to all contestants who submitted entries.
