National Green Week: Lessons & Activities
The National Green Week Curriculum section hosts standards based lessons, books, activities, posters and experiments to optimize your school’s participation in the program. Each grade offers a week long series of waste reduction lessons. In addition, five days of grade level, theme-based lesson plans and coordinating posters and activities are available, free to registered participants. Fun environmental activities can also be found here.
Don’t forget to take lots of photos of your kids participating in National Green Week activities! Upload them to the National Green Week community group and save for your Green in-Action Award submission.
Write down all comments and feedback from your students and teachers to share on the GEF surveys. We want to hear about your experience and recommendations for next year’s program!
Please take a moment to view the Waste-Free Snacks, Green Energy Challenge and Green Thumb Challenge Overview and Procedures sections to help you prepare for National Green Week and to optimize participation and learning!
It's not too late! The National Green Week Curriculum can be used at any time. Make any week a "green week."
