Sustainability Education Sales Representative
Get in at the ground floor of our growing company where advancement opportunities abound. In this role, you will spend a significant amount of time contacting Fortune 500 companies’ CEO’s and senior marketing and sustainability officers to introduce, develop and close sponsorship partner programs and internal sustainability workforce development programs. In addition, you will work with the same/or other organizations’ non-profit division, i.e. their foundations, to sell GEF programs to their grant departments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Call upon Fortune 500 companies to introduce and sell sponsorships opportunities for GEF programs
- Call corporate and private foundations and grant departments to win grants for GEF programs
- Manage leads through web based CRM application (Zoho)
- Create and customize PowerPoint presentations, follow up letters and proposals for sales opportunities
- Present programs for significant sponsorship opportunities (limited travel)
- Work with program directors on existing programs to determine areas of potential sales/sponsor opportunities
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with F500 corporate sales (minimum 5 years experience selling to large organizations)
- Strong sales project management experience and proven ability to manage and close significant sales, i.e. $50K to $1 million plus
- Must have a history of achieving sales objectives/quotas
- Outside sales experience
- Inside sales experience
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM applications
- Work fulltime at GEF HQ in East Walpole, MA

Projects will include researching current environmental education and education practices, programs, and state and local education requirements. The education research intern will also have the opportunity to serve as a liaison to GEF's National Advisory Board members-assisting with communication, membership status, surveys, and assignment and tracking of tasks. GEF's Education Research intern will also help coordinate evaluation feedback for pilot testing of course and curriculum materials on an as-needed basis.

Green Educational Foundation (GEF) is currently seeking talented Artists to assist in the production of illustrations & interactive content for our online courses.
Illustrators:
• Traditional drawing skills a must.

Social Media Internship
Compensation: Unpaid. College credit available.
Time: 15 hrs per week for 4 months
Green Education Foundation (GEF) is seeking a highly organized individual to assist with the development of its social media plan development and implementation. This individual must have a strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Projects include researching potential Facebook and Twitter partners, developing GEF’s LinkedIn site, and researching the development of a Wikipedia page. GEF’s Social Media intern will help GEF meet the needs of existing partners and sponsors through social media outreach as well as fostering new relationships with the potential for greater partnership.
The position is idea for a local college student pursuing college credit as part of their internship requirement. Please note this is an unpaid internship.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Establish a strong social media presence for GEF
• Develop a Facebook/Twitter plan to meet the needs of GEF sponsors
• Participate in/view Facebook’s Marketing Bootcamp program and apply strategies to GEF
• Connect with like-minded organizations by responding to posts and tweets daily
• Develop a LinkedIn page and connect with like-minded organizations/individuals
• Develop a strategy for a GEF Wikipedia page
• Research market opportunities
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
• Bachelor’s degree or degree in progress (preferably Marketing, Communications or related field)
• Knowledge of current trends in social media
• Ability to work 15-20 hours/week in the Walpole, MA office. It is possible for 2-3 hours to be completed remotely

Please note that these are unpaid internships unless stated otherwise. Internships are typically 15 hours per week for 3-4 months. Note GEF can be flexible with the time of day for work hours. GEF is a fun, fast growing company that has a mission to foster the next generation of environmental stewards. Many GEF interns have received college credit, been recommended to other firms and/or are now employed by GEF. All writing jobs require a BA in English or similar. Excellent grammatical, writing and comprehension skills a must.
