Become an Energy Spotlight School!


Energy Spotlight Schools are those schools or classrooms who make energy a priority. Whether you conduct lessons during class, organize an audit, promote behavior change at school, or tackle a building update, we want you to tell us all about it! GEF is also here to help YOUR SCHOOL make energy a key theme in your classrooms, with the potential to save money on utility costs, too! If you haven't started yet, but want to become an energy spotlight school, get started with free lessons, activities, audits and more through the Green Energy Challenge! Find out what the 2012 energy spotlight school has done to promote energy efficiency and be inspired!

The winning school will win 100 Green Packs (reusable bags, water bottles and snack containers) and will be featured in national press and on GEF's website.Eligibility
This special initiative is available to K-12 schools in New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island only.
How to Participate

Please submit a description of your work and include photos or videos to support your story. In your application, please include the school name, location and the grade levels who participated. Submit your application materials to GEF by April 1.
