• Organize a fall clean-up date (include a rain date).

• Clean, repair, and store tools and equipment.

• Note repairs needed.

• Remove all diseased plants and dispose of them in garbage bags – do not compost.

• Share soil test results, add necessary amendments;  dig in compost, till the soil with hoes and rakes.

• Plant cover crops (winter wheat, winter rye, clover, etc.).

• Plant garlic.

• Cut back perennials after frost.
